| Nightclubs |
| |
| Mumbai has a good nightlife, Mumbaikars tend to wear black at clubs, so bring some dark, smart, fashionable clothes if you intend to explore the club scene. Rhythms tend to be modern western dance music with the Hindi film song or bhangra (Indian Pop) number thrown in. Dancing is conducted with a degree of modesty and asking a complete stranger for a twirl is likely to be considered a breach of social etiquette. |

Mumbai is the home of the Cricket Club of India and the first test match India ever played was against England at the Bombay Gymkhana in 1933. Mumbai has produced plenty of players of world stature, such as Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar. The Cricket season runs from October to February. |
